"Let food be your medicine and let medicine be your food"

– Hippocrates, the father of medicine...

In today’s fast moving society it’s no wonder that people are unable to take the time to really look after themselves and listen to their body's needs.

Real food has taken a back seat to highly processed, refined junk food full of additives and preservatives, making healthy choices few and far between.

This junk food epidemic is paving the way to severe vitamin and mineral deficiencies and weakening the body's natural defences. This, along with the everyday stresses and the heavy use of medications and pesticides, is really denying us the nurturing purpose of food.

With each passing generation seeming to have more medical problems than the last and obesity becoming an ever worsening problem, now is the time to start making changes to the way we eat, and start taking control of our health and our weight.

As well as the obvious signs of weight gain, many people are finding that they are becoming deficient in many vital nutrients which is further fuelling their weight gain. This is due to the body trying to compensate with cravings for more food, leaving you feeling totally hopeless and unable to control your eating. There are many early warning signs that a deficiency is present. If these are corrected early enough then good health can be maintained, but if left to worsen then serious health implications will arise and you will continue to struggle with weight loss.
